Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)

My name is Debbie Battey and I am the ANP joining the team at Dalton Surgery.

The role of the ANP offers care complimentary to that offered by doctors and other health care professionals.  I will be providing care to patients of all ages with a wide variety and range of presenting problems and health care needs.

The majority of my nursing career has been within the emergency care setting.  I have undertaken advanced training to enable me to carry out the role of ANP.

The majority of General Practices/Surgeries now have an ANP working alongside GP’s.

My role will include:

·       Assess health care needs

·       Perform physical examinations

·       Screen Patients for disease factors and early signs of illness

·       Practice health education and preventative measures

·       Order investigations (bloods / x-rays)

·       Provide care both individually and as part of the team within the    Practice

·       Refer to see specialist doctors

I look forward to meeting you all and becoming part of the team
